|0007908||TestLink||Test Execute - Issue at Step Level||public||2017-04-03 13:11||2017-04-04 09:42|
|Product Version||1.9.16 (2016 Q4)|
|Fixed in Version|
|Summary||0007908: Once execution done do possibility to go back and modify data|
|Description||During a test campaign, some of our test have a great amount of steps, and mistakes can be made during the filling of the test execution page. If there is a mistake made, it seems there is no way to go back to the filled test execution page and only modify the step where the mistake is localized, without loosing the data for the others steps.|
|Steps To Reproduce||Create a Project, a test suite, at least one testcase with a great amount of steps. |
While filling the data into the test execution page, insert one error in data.
Once the Execution is saved, there is no turning back, no possibility to correct that error by going to the execution and modify only the error, since the data could have been saved.
|Additional Information||In the same context, if not by making an error, if the test is long with a great amount of steps, there is no way to save an execution partially filled to go back to after a break or if we lose connection to the server, which results in the lost of the data.|
Do you have an already existing solution to save the data during the execution?

Two issues on one ticket is not the way we work here (really is considered bad in any issue reporting standard I've found).
Right now there is no way to edit execution at test step level.
This can be considered if someone out there will sponsor the development
Sorry for the double issue on one ticket, they seemed linked to me, the second one depending on the first, that's why I did it.
I understand there is no way to edit execution at step level, yet, but it could be implemented if sponsored by someone or by a company.
Is there any way to avoid loosing the data while filling the test execution? (if long test case with numerous steps).

right now no
